Honda Civic Service Manual: Knock Sensor Removal and Installation (Except K24Z7)

1. Vehicle Lift

1.

Raise the vehicle on a lift, and make sure it is securely supported.


2. Tire and Wheel-Removal, Front Right

Remove the right front wheel.


3. Engine Undercover

1.

Remove the engine undercover (A).


4. INTAKE MANIFOLD BRACKET

1.

Remove the intake manifold bracket.


5. Knock Sensor


1.

Disconnect the connector.


2.

Remove the knock sensor (A).

1.

Install the knock sensor (A).


NOTE: When installing the knock sensor, make sure the direction of the sensor connector (B) is facing up.


2.

Connect the connector.


2. INTAKE MANIFOLD BRACKET

Install the intake manifold bracket.


3. Engine Undercover

1.

Install the engine undercover (A).


4. Tire and Wheel-Installation, Front Right

Install the right front wheel.


NOTE: Before installing the wheel, clean the mating surfaces between the brake disc and the inside of the wheel.
