Windshield-Washer Fluid Reservoir

Nissan Kicks windshield washer fluid reservoir location

Check the windshield-washer fluid reservoir periodically and refill it whenever necessary. Add washer fluid when the low washer fluid warning indicator (if equipped) appears or when the washer fluid level inside the cap tube assembly is no longer visible.

On Nissan Kicks models equipped with a washer cap tube, place your finger over the center opening 1 of the cap/tube assembly and remove it from the reservoir. If the tube contains no fluid, refill the reservoir.

To add washer fluid, lift the reservoir cap and carefully pour the fluid into the filler opening until the appropriate level is reached.

For improved windshield cleaning performance, add a suitable washer solvent. During winter months, use a windshield-washer antifreeze solution to help prevent freezing. Always follow the fluid manufacturer's recommended mixing ratios and usage instructions.

Under harsh weather conditions or during extended trips, washer fluid may be consumed more quickly. Check the reservoir frequently and refill as needed to maintain clear visibility while driving your Nissan Kicks.

The recommended product is Genuine NISSAN Windshield-Washer Concentrate Cleaner & Antifreeze or an equivalent washer fluid designed for automotive use.

CAUTION

  • Never use engine coolant or antifreeze as a substitute for windshield-washer fluid.

Doing so may damage painted surfaces and other vehicle components.

  • Do not pour washer fluid concentrate into the reservoir at full strength. Certain concentrates containing methyl alcohol may permanently stain exterior trim or grille components if spilled during filling.
  • Always pre-mix washer fluid concentrate with water according to the manufacturer's recommendations before adding it to the reservoir. Do not use the windshield-washer reservoir itself as a mixing container.

Regular inspection of all vehicle fluids, including CVT fluid, brake fluid, and washer fluid, helps keep your Nissan Kicks operating safely and efficiently while supporting long-term reliability in a wide range of driving conditions.
