Nissan Kicks windshield deicer switch Type A
Type A (if so equipped)

The windshield deicer switch, also referred to as the defroster switch, operates when the Nissan Kicks push-button ignition switch is in the ON position.

This deicer is designed to help remove ice from the lower windshield area when a windshield wiper blade is frozen to the glass. It can improve winter visibility and make it easier to free the wipers before driving.

When the switch is pressed, the indicator light illuminates and the deicer operates for approximately 20 minutes. The rear window defroster activates at the same time. After the preset operating time has elapsed, the deicer turns off automatically. To turn it off manually before that time, press the windshield deicer switch again.

CAUTION

  1. When operating the deicer continuously, make sure the engine is running.

Otherwise, the electrical load may cause the battery to discharge.

  2. When cleaning the inner side of the window, be careful not to scratch or damage the electrical conductors on the glass surface. Damage to these conductors may affect the Nissan Kicks deicer or defroster operation.

For best results in cold weather, clear heavy snow or ice from the glass manually before using the Nissan Kicks defroster or windshield deicer. These systems are intended to assist with clearing frost and ice, not to replace proper winter visibility preparation.
