The Nissan Kicks vehicle information display can be controlled using the

1. Home
The Home mode gives the Nissan Kicks driver a quick view of commonly used information:

The Home display can switch to the Audio display by pressing the OK button.
2. Drive Computer
Average fuel consumption:
The average fuel consumption display shows the average fuel use of the Nissan Kicks since the last reset.
Average speed:
The average speed display shows the average vehicle speed calculated since the last reset.
Trip odometer:
The trip odometer shows the total distance the vehicle has been driven since the last reset. This can be useful for monitoring route distance, fuel stops, or daily driving.
Elapsed time:
The elapsed time display shows the amount of time recorded since the last reset.
The Drive Computer mode has three operating modes. The driver can switch between Manual Reset1, Manual Reset2, and Auto Refuel by pressing the scroll dial.
Manual Reset1 can be reset manually using the scroll dial.
Manual Reset2 can be reset manually using the scroll dial or may reset automatically each time the ignition switch is placed in the OFF position, if so equipped.
Auto Refuel resets automatically each time the Nissan Kicks is refueled.
3. Fuel economy display
Current fuel consumption:
The current fuel consumption mode shows the current fuel use while the Nissan Kicks is being driven.
Average fuel consumption:
The average fuel consumption mode shows fuel economy calculated since the last reset.
The display updates every 30 seconds.
For approximately the first 1/3 mile (500 m) after a reset, the display shows "- -" until enough driving data is collected.
4. Audio
The audio mode shows the current status of audio information, allowing the driver to view basic media details through the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display.

The driving aids mode shows the operating condition of the following systems, if equipped:

The following messages may appear in the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display. These warnings and indicators help the driver understand key system conditions, Intelligent Key status, reminder alerts, and selected vehicle functions.
Engine start

This indicator appears when the Intelligent Key battery is weak and the Intelligent Key system is not communicating normally with the Nissan Kicks.
If this message appears, press the brake pedal and touch the ignition switch with the Intelligent Key. This allows the vehicle to recognize the key signal at close range and may allow the engine to be started.
Key System Error: See

After the ignition switch is placed in the ON position, this warning may appear for a short period and then turn off.
The I-Key System Error message warns that a malfunction may be present in the Nissan Kicks Intelligent Key system.
If this warning appears while the engine is stopped, it may not be possible to start the engine.
If the warning appears while the engine is running, the Nissan Kicks can usually continue to be driven. However, the system should be inspected as soon as possible. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
Key Battery Low
This indicator appears when the Intelligent Key battery is running low and may soon no longer provide reliable communication with the vehicle.
If this indicator appears, replace the Intelligent Key battery with a new one.
No Key Detected
This warning appears when the Intelligent Key is outside the Nissan Kicks while the ignition switch is in the ON position. Make sure the Intelligent Key is inside the vehicle before driving or attempting to operate the vehicle systems.
Alarm - Time for a break?
This indicator appears when the driver has enabled the Timer Alert function in the Driving Assistance settings and the selected time has elapsed. The timer is based on ignition-on time and can be set for up to six hours.
Chassis Control System Error See Owner's Manual
This warning appears when the chassis control system is not operating properly. If this message appears in the Nissan Kicks display, have the system checked by a NISSAN dealer.
Caution Steep slope
This warning appears when the automatic brake hold function is activated while the Nissan Kicks is positioned on a steep hill. In this situation, extra attention may be required because brake hold performance can be affected by grade and vehicle load.
Rear Door Alert is activated
When enabled, this message appears when the Rear Door Alert system is active. The system can remind the Nissan Kicks driver to check the rear seat area before leaving the vehicle.
- Using the steering wheel switch, the driver can select "Dismiss Message" to clear the display for a limited period. If no selection is made, the message turns off automatically after a short time.
- Using the steering wheel switch, the driver can select "Disable Alert" to turn off the horn alert for the remainder of the current trip.
WARNING
Selecting "Dismiss Message" during a stop within a trip only hides the message temporarily for that stop and does not turn the system off. Alerts may still be provided at other stops during the same trip. Selecting "Disable Alert" turns off the Rear Door Alert system for the remainder of the trip, and no audible alert will be provided.
NOTE:
This system remains disabled until the driver enables it through the vehicle information display.
Check Back Seat For All Articles
When the Rear Door Alert system is enabled, this message appears after the Nissan Kicks comes to a complete stop, the shift lever is moved from D (Drive) to P (Park), and the driver exits the vehicle. After the audible alert sounds, the message reminds the driver to check the rear seat area for belongings, passengers, or other items before leaving the vehicle.
NOTE:
This system remains inactive until the driver turns it on through the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display.
Door/liftgate Open
This warning appears when one of the doors or the liftgate has been opened or is not fully closed. Before driving the Nissan Kicks, confirm that every door and the liftgate are securely latched.
Headlight System Error: See Owner's Manual
This warning appears when the Nissan Kicks detects an error in the headlight system. If the message remains displayed, the lighting system may not operate as expected and should be inspected.
High Coolant Temp: See

This warning appears when the engine coolant temperature is too high. Stop the Nissan Kicks in a safe location as soon as possible, and avoid quick starts, hard acceleration, or continued high-load driving.
When the warning turns off, the vehicle may be driven again with caution.
If the warning appears again shortly after it turns off, have the Nissan Kicks inspected. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
Illumination

This indicator shows the current brightness adjustment level for the instrument panel illumination.
Low Fuel
This warning appears when the fuel level in the Nissan Kicks fuel tank is getting low. Refuel as soon as convenient, preferably before the fuel gauge reaches 0 (Empty). A small reserve amount of fuel may remain when the gauge needle reaches 0 (Empty), but the vehicle should not be driven with the tank nearly empty.
Low Outside Temperature
This warning appears when the outside temperature is below 37ºF (3ºC). The temperature display can be changed between Celsius and Fahrenheit in the vehicle settings. Even when roads appear dry, low outside temperatures may indicate possible icy conditions.
Oil and Filter
This indicator appears when the driver-set distance for changing the engine oil and oil filter has been reached. The distance interval for checking or replacing these items can be set or reset through the Nissan Kicks maintenance settings.
Other
This indicator appears when the driver-set distance has been reached for checking or replacing maintenance items other than engine oil, oil filter, or tires. These items may include the air filter, tire rotation, or other routine service needs. The reminder distance can be set or reset in the Nissan Kicks maintenance menu.
Outside Temperature
Display
The outside temperature display appears in the center area of the vehicle information display, allowing the driver to monitor ambient temperature while driving.
Parking Sensor Error: See Owner's Manual
This warning appears when the Nissan Kicks detects an error in the parking sensor system. If the message remains displayed, the system may not provide normal parking assistance and should be checked.
Parking Sensor
This indicator appears when the parking sensor is activated and detecting conditions around the vehicle.
Power will turn off to save the battery
This message appears in the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display after a period of time when the ignition switch remains in the ON position and the shift lever is in P (Park). It indicates that the vehicle is preparing to reduce power use to help protect the battery.
Power turned off to save the battery
This message appears after the ignition switch has been automatically turned off to help prevent unnecessary battery discharge.
Press Brake Pedal
This warning appears in the following situations:
- The driver attempts to release the electronic parking brake manually without pressing the brake pedal.
- The Nissan Kicks is stopped on a steep hill and there is a possibility of the vehicle rolling backward, even with the electronic parking brake applied.
- The warning appears if the vehicle moves while automatic brake hold is activated.
Press brake to operate

This warning appears when the automatic brake hold switch is pressed without depressing the brake pedal while the automatic brake hold function is active. Press the brake pedal first, then press the switch to deactivate the automatic brake hold function.
Push brake and start

This indicator appears when the shift lever of the Nissan Kicks is in the P (Park) position.
The message may also be displayed when the Nissan Kicks has been started using the Remote Engine Start feature, if equipped.
This indicator reminds the driver that the engine can be started by pressing the ignition switch while depressing the brake pedal. The Nissan Kicks allows engine starting from any ignition switch position when the correct start conditions are met.

Rear seat belt warning
The rear seat warning indicator may vary depending on the seating configuration of your Nissan Kicks.
Red seat with exclamation

The corresponding rear seat belt is not fastened.
Green seat with tick symbol:
The corresponding rear seat belt is properly fastened.
- This warning screen displays the status of rear seat belts only. Any rear seating position with an unfastened seat belt will be highlighted in red.
- If one or more rear seat belts are not fastened when the ignition switch is placed in the ON position, the warning will remain visible for approximately one minute or until dismissed using the scroll dial.
- Whenever a rear passenger changes from a fastened to an unfastened seat belt condition, the warning will reappear for more than one minute or until manually dismissed, and the seat belt warning light will illuminate.
- If the Nissan Kicks exceeds 9 mph (15 km/h) during or after a rear seat belt status change, the warning will be displayed, the seat belt warning light will flash, and the audible chime will sound for more than one minute. During this period, the warning and chime cannot be dismissed unless the rear seat belt is fastened again. After the warning light and chime stop, the message remains visible until dismissed.
NOTE:
- While this message is displayed, the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display will also show the status of all doors and the liftgate.
- Opening and closing a rear door while the vehicle is stationary resets this warning in a manner similar to switching the ignition ON again.
Release Parking Brake
This warning appears in the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display when the parking brake remains applied while the vehicle is moving. Release the parking brake before continuing to drive.
Reminder: Turn OFF
Headlights
This warning appears when the headlights have been left on while exiting the Nissan Kicks. Move the headlight switch to the OFF position (if equipped) or select AUTO mode to prevent unnecessary battery discharge.
Shift to Park
This warning appears when the ignition switch is in the OFF position and the shift lever is not in the P (Park) position. An audible chime will also sound to alert the driver.
If this warning appears, move the shift lever into P (Park) and then restart the Nissan Kicks if necessary.
Shipping Mode On Push Storage Fuse
This warning may appear if the extended storage switch has not been pushed in. When the message is displayed, press the extended storage switch to disable the warning and return the Nissan Kicks to normal operating status.
Steep slope Apply foot

This warning appears if the "Caution Steep slope" message has remained active for approximately three minutes. Under these conditions, the parking brake will be applied automatically and the braking force provided by the automatic brake hold function will be released.
As a result, the Nissan Kicks could move unexpectedly or begin to roll on a steep incline. Immediately press the foot brake pedal to keep the vehicle securely stopped and maintain full control of the vehicle.
For maximum safety, always monitor warning messages displayed in the Nissan Kicks information display and respond promptly to any alerts related to braking, parking, or occupant protection systems.
Steering lock release

If this indicator appears, press the ignition switch while gently turning the steering wheel to the right and left. This movement may help release tension on the steering lock mechanism and allow normal starting operation.

The distance for tire replacement can be set or reset through the Nissan Kicks maintenance settings.

The warning appears each time the ignition switch is placed in the ON position while the low tire pressure warning light remains illuminated. If this warning appears, stop the Nissan Kicks in a safe location and adjust the pressure in all four tires to the recommended COLD tire pressure shown on the Tire and Loading Information label.

This warning appears when the Tire Pressure Monitoring System detects an error. If this warning is displayed, the Nissan Kicks TPMS may not be able to monitor tire pressure correctly. Have the system checked. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.

Currently not available
This message may appear when ProPILOT Assist, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention (I-BSI), or Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI) is engaged.
Under the following conditions, ProPILOT Assist, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention (I-BSI), or Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI) may be canceled automatically in the Nissan Kicks:
- When the VDC system is turned off.
- When SNOW mode, SAND mode, or MUD/RUT mode is selected on AWD models.
When this message appears, review the selected drive mode and vehicle stability settings. Some driver assistance systems require normal traction control operation and compatible drive mode conditions before they can function again.
The systems listed above may not be available in certain driving situations, such as when the VDC system is actively operating, wheel slip is detected, or the VDC system has been turned off. In the Nissan Kicks, some driver assistance functions depend on stable traction and normal VDC operation before they can assist the driver properly.
Drive Sport mode

A small "S" appears to the right of the Transmission Shift Position indicator in the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display when Drive Sport mode is engaged.
Drive Sport mode can be activated by pressing the drive mode selector switch while the shift lever is in the D (Drive) position. When selected, the Nissan Kicks may provide a more responsive driving feel compared with normal driving mode.
Driver Attention Alert -
System Fault
This warning appears when the Intelligent Driver Alertness (I-DA) system is not functioning properly. If the message remains displayed, the system may not be able to monitor driver attention as intended.

Take a Break?
This alert appears when the system detects driving behavior that may indicate fatigue or reduced attention. When this message appears in the Nissan Kicks display, consider stopping in a safe place and taking a break before continuing.
Forward Driving Aids Temporarily Disabled Front Sensor Blocked See Owner's Manual
This message appears when the front radar sensor may be blocked or affected by external conditions such as:
- mud, dirt, snow, ice, road spray, or other material covering the sensor area
- poor weather conditions, including heavy rain, fog, snow, or similar reduced-visibility conditions
When this warning appears, all forward driving aid functions in the Nissan Kicks are temporarily disabled until the system determines that the front radar sensor is no longer obstructed.

This message appears when the Blind Spot Warning (BSW) or Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) systems become unavailable because the side radar area is blocked. Dirt, snow, ice, road spray, or nearby objects may interfere with radar detection.
System Fault
This warning appears when a malfunction is detected in the Rear Automatic Braking (RAB) system. If the warning remains displayed, the Nissan Kicks may not provide rear automatic braking assistance until the system is inspected and operating normally.
Unavailable: High Cabin Temperature
This message appears when the camera detects an interior temperature above approximately 104ºF (40ºC). High cabin temperature may temporarily limit camera-based driver assistance operation until the interior cools down.
