Average fuel consumption:
The average fuel consumption display shows the average fuel use of the Nissan Kicks since the last reset.
Average speed:
The average speed display shows the average vehicle speed calculated since the last reset.
Trip odometer:
The trip odometer shows the total distance the Nissan Kicks has been driven since the last reset. This is useful for tracking daily mileage, route distance, or distance between fuel stops.
Elapsed time:
The elapsed time display shows the time recorded since the last reset.
The Drive Computer mode includes three operating modes. The driver can switch between Manual Reset1, Manual Reset2, and Auto Refuel by pressing the scroll dial.
Manual Reset1 can be reset manually using the scroll dial.
Manual Reset2 can be reset manually using the scroll dial or may reset automatically each time the ignition switch is placed in the OFF position, if so equipped.
Auto Refuel resets automatically each time the Nissan Kicks is refueled.
3. Fuel economy display
Current fuel consumption:
The current fuel consumption mode shows real-time fuel use while the Nissan Kicks is being driven.
Average fuel consumption:
The average fuel consumption mode shows the calculated fuel economy since the last reset.
The display updates every 30 seconds.
For approximately the first 1/3 mile (500 m) after a reset, the display shows "- -" until enough driving data is collected.
4. Audio
The audio mode shows the current status of audio information, allowing the driver to view basic media details directly in the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display.

Key System

After the ignition switch is placed in the ON position, this warning may appear for a short time and then turn off.
The I-Key System Error message indicates that the Nissan Kicks may have a malfunction in the Intelligent Key system.
If this warning appears while the engine is stopped, starting the engine may not be possible.
If the warning appears while the engine is running, the Nissan Kicks can usually continue to be driven. However, the system should be inspected and repaired as soon as possible. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
Key Battery Low
This indicator appears when the Intelligent Key battery is nearly discharged and may soon stop communicating reliably with the vehicle.
If this indicator appears, replace the Intelligent Key battery with a new one.
No Key Detected
This warning appears when the Intelligent Key is outside the Nissan Kicks while the ignition switch is in the ON position. Make sure the Intelligent Key is inside the vehicle before attempting to drive or operate key-dependent functions.
Alarm - Time for a break?
This indicator appears when the driver has enabled the Timer Alert function in the Driving Assistance settings and the selected time has elapsed. The timer is based on ignition-on time and can be set for up to six hours.

Caution Steep

This warning appears when the automatic brake hold function is activated while the Nissan Kicks is positioned on a steep hill. In this situation, pay close attention to vehicle movement and be ready to apply the brake pedal.
Rear Door Alert is activated
When enabled, this message appears when the Rear Door Alert system is active. The system can remind the Nissan Kicks driver to check the rear seat area before leaving the vehicle.
- Using the steering wheel switch, the driver can select "Dismiss Message" to clear the display temporarily. If no selection is made, the message turns off automatically after a short period.
- Using the steering wheel switch, the driver can select "Disable Alert" to turn off the horn alert for the remainder of the current trip.
WARNING
Selecting "Dismiss Message" during a stop within a trip only clears the message for that stop and does not turn the system off. Alerts may still be provided at later stops during the same trip. Selecting "Disable Alert" turns off the Rear Door Alert system for the remainder of the trip, and no audible alert will be provided.
NOTE:
This system remains disabled until the driver enables it through the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display.
Check Back Seat For All Articles
When the Rear Door Alert system is enabled, this message appears after the Nissan Kicks comes to a complete stop, the shift lever is moved from D (Drive) to P (Park), and the driver exits the vehicle. After the audible alert has been provided, the message reminds the driver to check the rear seat area for belongings, passengers, or other items.
NOTE:
This system remains disabled until the driver enables it through the vehicle information display.
Door/liftgate Open
This warning appears when a door or the liftgate has been opened or is not fully secured. Before driving the Nissan Kicks, check that every door and the liftgate are completely closed.

This warning appears when the Nissan Kicks detects a fault in the headlight system. If the message remains displayed, the headlights may not operate normally and the system should be inspected.
High Coolant Temp: See

This warning appears when the engine coolant temperature is too high. Stop the Nissan Kicks in a safe location as soon as possible, and avoid quick starts, hard acceleration, or continued high-load driving.
When the warning turns off, the vehicle can be driven again with caution.

Illumination

This indicator shows the current brightness adjustment level of the instrument panel illumination.
Low Fuel
This warning appears when the fuel level in the Nissan Kicks fuel tank is getting low. Refuel as soon as convenient, preferably before the fuel gauge reaches 0 (Empty). A small reserve amount of fuel may remain when the gauge needle reaches 0 (Empty), but it should not be used as a normal driving range.
Low Outside Temperature
This warning appears when the outside temperature is below 37ºF (3ºC). The temperature display can be changed to Celsius or Fahrenheit. At this temperature, road surfaces may be slippery even if they do not appear icy.
Oil and Filter
This indicator appears when the driver-set distance for engine oil and oil filter replacement has been reached. The distance for checking or replacing these items can be set or reset in the Nissan Kicks maintenance menu.
Other
This indicator appears when the driver-set distance has been reached for checking or replacing maintenance items other than engine oil, oil filter, and tires. These items may include the air filter, tire rotation, or other routine Nissan Kicks service items. The distance can be set or reset as needed.
Outside Temperature
Display
The outside temperature display appears in the center area of the vehicle information display, allowing the driver to monitor ambient temperature while driving.
Parking Sensor Error: See Owner's Manual
This warning appears when the Nissan Kicks detects an error in the parking sensor system. If the warning continues to appear, parking sensor assistance may be limited or unavailable.
Parking Sensor
This indicator appears when the parking sensor is activated and monitoring the area around the vehicle.
Power will turn off to save the battery
This message appears in the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display after a period of time when the ignition switch remains in the ON position and the vehicle is in P (Park). The message indicates that the vehicle is preparing to reduce electrical power use to help protect the battery.
Power turned off to save the battery
This message appears after the ignition switch has been turned off automatically to help prevent unnecessary battery discharge.
Press Brake Pedal
This warning appears in the following situations:
- The driver attempts to release the electronic parking brake manually without pressing the brake pedal.
- The Nissan Kicks is stopped on a steep hill and there is a possibility of the vehicle moving backward, even when the electronic parking brake is applied.
- The warning appears if the vehicle moves while the automatic brake hold function is activated.

This warning appears if the automatic brake hold switch is pressed without depressing the brake pedal while the automatic brake hold function is active. Press the brake pedal first, then press the switch to deactivate automatic brake hold.

This indicator may also appear when the Nissan Kicks has been started using the Remote Engine Start function, if equipped.
To drive, press the brake pedal and push the ignition switch. This confirms driver presence and allows the vehicle to transition from remote or standby operation to normal driving readiness.
This indicator informs the driver that the Nissan Kicks engine can be started by pressing the ignition switch while the brake pedal is firmly depressed. In this condition, the engine may be started regardless of the current ignition switch position, as long as the correct starting procedure is followed.
Display with rear seats only
Rear seat belt warning
The rear seat warning indicator may appear differently depending on the seating layout and equipment configuration of your Nissan Kicks.
Red seat with exclamation
symbol:
This symbol shows that the seat belt for the corresponding rear seating position is not fastened.
Green seat with tick symbol:
This symbol confirms that the seat belt for the corresponding rear seating position is properly fastened.
- The Nissan Kicks rear seat belt warning is intended to show the belt status for rear seating positions only. Any rear seat belt that is not buckled will be shown in red.
- If one or more rear seat belts are unfastened when the ignition switch is placed in the ON position, the warning will appear for approximately 1 minute, or until it is dismissed by pressing the scroll dial.
- When a rear seat belt changes from fastened to unfastened, the warning will appear for more than 1 minute, or until dismissed, and the seat belt warning light will turn ON.
- If the Nissan Kicks is driven above 9 mph (15 km/h) during or after a rear passenger seat belt buckle status change, the warning will remain displayed, the seat belt warning light will blink, and a chime will sound for more than 1 minute. During this period, the warning and chime cannot be canceled unless the rear seat belt is fastened again. After the warning light and chime stop, the display message will remain until it is dismissed.
NOTE:
- While this message is shown, the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display may also show the current status of all doors and the liftgate.
- Opening and closing a rear door while the vehicle is stopped resets this warning in a similar way to turning the ignition switch ON again.
Release Parking Brake
This warning appears in the message area of the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display when the parking brake remains applied while the vehicle is being driven. Release the parking brake before continuing to drive.
Reminder: Turn OFF Headlights
This warning appears when the headlights are left in the ON position while exiting the vehicle. To avoid draining the battery, move the headlight switch to the OFF position, if equipped, or select the AUTO position when available.
Shift to Park
This warning appears when the ignition switch is placed in the OFF position while the shift lever is not in the P (Park) position. A warning chime also sounds when this condition occurs.
If this message appears in the Nissan Kicks, move the shift lever securely to the P (Park) position, then start the engine as needed.
Shipping Mode On Push Storage Fuse
This warning may appear if the extended storage switch has not been pushed in. When the warning is displayed, press the extended storage switch inward to turn the message off and restore normal vehicle electrical operation.
Steep slope Apply foot

This warning appears if the “Caution Steep slope” message has remained active for approximately 3 minutes. In this situation, the parking brake may be applied automatically and the braking force from automatic brake hold may be released. Because the Nissan Kicks could move or roll unexpectedly, press the foot brake immediately to keep the vehicle stopped.
Steering lock release malfunction

If this indicator is displayed, press the ignition switch while gently turning the steering wheel to the right and left. This can help release tension on the steering lock mechanism.
Tire
This indicator appears when the customer-set distance for tire replacement has been reached.
The replacement distance can be set or reset through the Nissan Kicks vehicle information display settings, allowing the driver to track tire service intervals more conveniently.
WARNING
The tire replacement indicator is only a reminder and must not be used as a replacement for regular tire inspections, including tire pressure checks. Tire wear on the Nissan Kicks can be affected by inflation pressure, wheel alignment, driving style, vehicle loading, road surface, climate, and overall road conditions. Always inspect the tires regularly and replace them when tread depth, damage, age, or uneven wear indicates that replacement is necessary.
Setting the tire replacement reminder in the Nissan Kicks for a specific driving distance does not guarantee that the tires will remain safe or usable until that mileage is reached. Treat this indicator only as a helpful service reminder, not as a replacement for regular tire inspections. Always check tire condition, tread wear, visible damage, and tire pressure at proper intervals. Tire Pressure Low - Add Air
This warning appears when the low tire pressure warning light in the meter illuminates and the Nissan Kicks detects that one or more tires may be below the proper pressure. The message is displayed each time the ignition switch is placed in the ON position while the low tire pressure warning light remains on. If this warning appears, stop the vehicle in a safe location and adjust the pressure in all four tires to the recommended COLD tire pressure listed on the Tire and Loading Information label.
TPMS Error: See Owner's Manual
This warning appears when a malfunction is detected in the Tire Pressure Monitoring System. If the message remains displayed, the TPMS may not be able to monitor tire pressure correctly. This indicator appears together with an audible warning when the system detects a possible forward collision risk. In the Nissan Kicks, this warning is intended to alert the driver so corrective action, such as braking or steering, can be taken when needed.
Blind Spot
Warning (BSW)/Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention (I-BSI) indicator
This indicator appears when the Blind Spot Warning and/or Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention systems are active.

Cruise control indicator

Currently not available
This message may appear when ProPILOT Assist, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention (I-BSI), or Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI) is engaged but the current driving conditions do not allow the system to continue operating.
Under the following conditions, ProPILOT Assist, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention (I-BSI), or Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI) may be automatically canceled:
- When the VDC system is turned off.
- When SNOW mode, SAND mode, or MUD/RUT mode is selected on AWD models.
These driver assistance systems may also be unavailable in certain situations, such as when VDC is operating, wheel slip is detected, or the VDC system has been switched off. In such cases, the Nissan Kicks relies on the driver to maintain full control of steering, braking, and acceleration.
Drive Sport mode indicator
A small “S” appears to the right of the Transmission Shift Position indicator in the vehicle information display when Drive Sport mode is engaged.
Drive Sport mode can be activated by pressing the drive mode selector switch while the shift lever is in the D (Drive) position. This mode may provide a more responsive driving feel in the Nissan Kicks, especially during acceleration or when a sharper throttle response is desired.
Driver Attention Alert - System
Fault
This warning appears when the Intelligent Driver Alertness system is not functioning properly. If the message remains displayed, the system should be inspected so that driver attention monitoring can operate correctly when available.

This message appears when the Nissan Kicks front radar sensor may be blocked or unable to read the road ahead correctly.
The sensor area may be obstructed by the following conditions:
- Mud, dirt, snow, ice, slush, or other road debris on the sensor area.
- Poor weather conditions such as heavy rain, fog, snowfall, spray, or reduced visibility.
When this warning is displayed, the forward driver assistance features in the Nissan Kicks are temporarily disabled. These systems will remain unavailable until the vehicle detects that the front radar sensor is clear and can operate normally again.

Under the following conditions, the Steering Assist system may be automatically canceled:
- When the windshield wipers are operating at HI speed.
- When lane markings cannot be detected correctly for a period of time due to snow ruts, glare, reflections on wet pavement, rain, unclear lane lines, or multiple confusing lane markings.
To use Steering Assist again, cancel ProPILOT Assist and set it again when the lane markings are clearly visible. Depending on the situation, you may also press the Steering Assist switch once to restore the function when conditions allow.
Not Available Front Camera Obstructed
This message may appear when Steering Assist is engaged and the front camera cannot clearly monitor the road ahead.
The Steering Assist system may be automatically canceled under the following condition:
- The windshield camera area is fogged, dirty, wet, covered with water drops, ice, snow, or another obstruction.
Clean the windshield area in front of the camera and make sure visibility is restored before relying on the system again.
Not Available Parking Brake On
This message may appear when ProPILOT Assist is engaged while the electronic parking brake is applied.
Under the following condition, ProPILOT Assist is automatically canceled:
- The electronic parking brake is applied.
ProPILOT Assist cannot be used while the electronic parking brake is activated. Release the parking brake and confirm that driving conditions are suitable before attempting to use the system again in the Nissan Kicks.
Not Available Poor Road Conditions
This message may appear when ProPILOT Assist, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention (I-BSI), or Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI) is engaged, but road conditions are not suitable for reliable system operation.
Under the following conditions, ProPILOT Assist, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention (I-BSI), or Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI) in the Nissan Kicks may be canceled automatically:
- When the VDC system begins operating to help stabilize the vehicle.
- When wheel slip is detected.
These systems may not be available in certain driving situations, especially when VDC is active, wheel slip is occurring, or the VDC system has been switched off. In these conditions, the driver must maintain full control of the Nissan Kicks and adjust speed, steering, and braking as needed.
Not Available Seat Belt Not Fastened
This message may appear when the ProPILOT Assist system is engaged.
Under the following condition, ProPILOT Assist is automatically canceled:
- When the driver's seat belt is not fastened.
ProPILOT Assist cannot be used in the Nissan Kicks unless the driver's seat belt is properly fastened. Always buckle the seat belt before driving or activating driver assistance features.
Not Available System Malfunction
This warning appears when one or more driver assistance systems, if equipped, are not functioning correctly.
- ProPILOT Assist.
- Blind Spot Warning (BSW).
- Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention (I-BSI).
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW).
- Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI).
If one or more of these warnings appear in the Nissan Kicks, have the affected system inspected. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for proper diagnosis and service.
ProPILOT Assist indicators
These indicators show the operating status of the ProPILOT Assist system. The status is displayed by color, helping the driver understand whether the system is ready, active, or temporarily unavailable.
Rear Automatic Braking (RAB)

This indicator shows the current status of the Rear Automatic Braking (RAB) system. In the Nissan Kicks, this system may help the driver when reversing by detecting certain obstacles behind the vehicle.
Side Radar Obstruction
This message appears when the Blind Spot Warning (BSW) or Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) systems become unavailable because a blockage is detected near the side radar sensors.
If this message appears, check the rear side sensor areas for dirt, snow, ice, mud, or other material that may interfere with radar detection. Once the obstruction is cleared, the Nissan Kicks systems may return to normal operation.
System Fault
This warning appears if a malfunction is detected in the Rear Automatic Braking (RAB) system.
If the message remains displayed, have the system inspected. It is recommended that the Nissan Kicks be checked by a NISSAN dealer.
Speed Limit Sign

This message may appear when the Traffic Sign Recognition system is active. The indicator helps display detected speed limit information when the system can recognize applicable road signs.
Steering Assist Not Available Cannot Detect Lane
This indicator may appear when the Steering Assist system is engaged but the Nissan Kicks cannot correctly detect lane markings for a period of time. This may happen because of snow ruts, water reflections on a rainy road, faded lane markings, glare, construction markings, or several unclear lane lines.
When this condition occurs, Steering Assist is automatically canceled. To use Steering Assist again, cancel ProPILOT Assist and set it again once the lane markings are clearly visible. You may also press the Steering Assist switch once when conditions are suitable.
Steering Assist ON
This indicator appears when the Steering Assist system is turned on and available to support the driver under suitable road and lane-marking conditions.
Steering Assist OFF
This indicator appears when the Steering Assist system is turned off. When this message is shown, the system will not provide steering support.
Only Available
with Cruise Control ON
This message appears when the Steering Assist switch is pressed while cruise control is not switched on. Turn on the cruise control function first before attempting to use Steering Assist.
Steering Assist status
This indicator appears when the Steering Assist system is engaged. It helps the driver confirm that steering support is active within the limits of the system.
Vehicle ahead

This indicator appears when the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system is active and has detected a vehicle ahead. The driver should continue to monitor traffic and be ready to brake or steer if necessary.
Unavailable: High Cabin Temperature
This message appears when the camera detects that the interior temperature is higher than approximately 104ºF (40ºC). In this condition, camera-based driver assistance features in the Nissan Kicks may be temporarily unavailable until the cabin cools and the camera can operate reliably again.
