Nissan Kicks variable voltage control system current sensor location

CAUTION

  • Do not connect accessory grounds directly to the battery terminal. Doing so bypasses the variable voltage control system and may prevent the battery from charging correctly.
  • Operate electrical accessories with the engine running whenever possible to help avoid unnecessary battery discharge.

Your Nissan Kicks is equipped with a variable voltage control system designed to improve charging efficiency and overall electrical system performance. The system continuously monitors battery discharge levels and adjusts generator output voltage according to vehicle operating conditions.

The current sensor A is located near the battery on the negative battery cable. If additional electrical accessories are installed, ensure they are grounded to a suitable body ground location, such as the vehicle frame or engine block, rather than directly to the battery terminal.
