WARNING

  • Never adjust the steering wheel while the Nissan Kicks is moving. Sudden steering input or loss of control could result in a collision.
  • Do not position the steering wheel closer to your body than necessary for comfortable and safe vehicle operation.

The driver's air bag deploys with considerable force during a collision. Sitting too close to the steering wheel, leaning forward, sitting sideways, or being out of position increases the risk of serious injury or death.

For maximum protection, always sit upright with your back against the seatback, maintain a comfortable distance from the steering wheel, and wear your seat belt properly while driving the Nissan Kicks.

Tilt and telescopic operation

Nissan Kicks tilt and telescopic steering wheel adjustment lever

The Nissan Kicks steering wheel can be adjusted for both tilt and reach to help create a comfortable driving position.

Push lock lever 1 downward to unlock the steering column.

  • Move the steering wheel upward or downward in direction 2 until the desired position is reached.
  • Move the steering wheel forward or backward in direction 3 to achieve the preferred driving position.

After adjusting the steering wheel, pull lock lever 1 upward firmly to secure the steering wheel in place.

Proper steering wheel positioning can improve comfort during long drives and help maintain a clear view of the Nissan Kicks instrument cluster.
