Replacing Spark Plugs
Iridium-Tipped Spark Plugs
The Nissan Kicks is equipped with iridium-tipped spark plugs designed to provide extended service life and reliable ignition performance. Compared with conventional spark plugs, iridium plugs typically last significantly longer and require less frequent replacement. Always follow the maintenance intervals specified in the "Maintenance and Schedules" section of this manual.
Iridium-tipped spark plugs should not be cleaned, regapped, modified, or serviced. Attempting to alter the electrode gap or clean the plug may reduce performance and shorten service life.
- Always replace spark plugs with the recommended type or an approved equivalent to ensure proper engine operation and efficiency.
WARNING
Make sure the engine is switched off, the ignition is in the OFF or LOCK position, and the parking brake is fully applied before inspecting or replacing spark plugs.
CAUTION
Use only the correct spark plug socket when removing or installing spark plugs. An incorrect tool may damage the spark plug body, insulator, or surrounding engine components.
If spark plug replacement becomes necessary, it is recommended that you have the service performed by a NISSAN dealer or a qualified technician familiar with Nissan Kicks maintenance procedures.
