To defrost or clear moisture from the rear window glass in the Nissan Kicks, start the engine and press the rear window defroster switch. The indicator light on the switch will illuminate, confirming that the rear window defroster is operating. Press the switch again to turn the defroster off manually.
To defrost the outside mirrors, if your Nissan Kicks is equipped with this feature, start the engine and press the outside mirror defroster switch. The indicator light on the switch will come on while the mirror defroster is active. Press the switch again to switch the function off.
The rear window and outside mirror defroster, if equipped, will turn off automatically after approximately 20 minutes to help protect the electrical system and reduce unnecessary battery load.

Type B (if so equipped)
NOTE:
Use the rear window defroster and/or outside mirror defroster while the engine is running. Operating these features for an extended time without the engine running may discharge the battery.
CAUTION
When cleaning the inner surface of the rear window, use care not to scratch, scrape, or damage the rear window defroster lines. Damaged defroster elements may reduce or prevent proper defrosting performance.
