Center Console

The power outlet in the Nissan Kicks is designed to supply electrical power to compatible accessories such as mobile phones, portable chargers, navigation devices, and other low-power electronic equipment. The outlet is rated at 12 volts with a maximum capacity of 120 watts (10 amps).

The center console power outlet receives power only when the ignition switch is in the ON position or while the accessory power system remains active.

NOTE:

  • When the ignition is switched OFF, the center console power outlet stops supplying power approximately one minute after a door is opened and remains open.
  • If no door is opened after the ignition is turned OFF, the Nissan Kicks power outlet may continue supplying power until the accessory power timer expires.

CAUTION

  • The outlet and connected plug may become warm during operation or immediately after use.
  • Do not connect accessories that require more than 12 volts, 120 watts (10 amps).
  • Avoid using double adapters, splitters, or connecting multiple accessories simultaneously.
  • Whenever possible, use electrical accessories while the engine is running to help prevent battery discharge.
  • Limit power outlet usage when high electrical loads such as the air conditioner, headlights, or rear window defroster are operating.
  • Before connecting or disconnecting any device, make sure the accessory is switched off.
  • Insert the plug fully into the outlet. Poor electrical contact can cause overheating or activate the internal protection fuse.
  • When the outlet is not being used, always close the protective cap to prevent contamination from dust, moisture, or liquids.

Extended storage switch

The extended storage switch is installed for vehicle transportation and long-term storage purposes. In the Nissan Kicks, this switch is located inside fuse panel A on the driver's side left kick panel near the floor area.

If certain electrical systems or accessories do not operate correctly after delivery or service, verify that the extended storage switch is fully pressed into its operating position. An improperly positioned switch may disable some vehicle electrical functions.

The pushed position is the normal operating setting for everyday Nissan Kicks use. Ensure the switch is fully inserted whenever the vehicle is being driven or serviced to guarantee proper operation of all supported electrical components.

For maximum reliability, periodically check that electrical accessories connected to the Nissan Kicks power outlet meet the manufacturer's power requirements and are in good condition.
