Manual anti-glare rearview mirror

Nissan Kicks manual anti-glare rearview mirror day and night positions

The inside rearview mirror of the Nissan Kicks can be adjusted to reduce glare from vehicles traveling behind you during nighttime driving.

Use night position 1 to help reduce headlight glare from following vehicles.

Use day position 2 during daylight driving conditions for maximum rearward visibility.

WARNING

Use the night position only when necessary, as it reduces overall rearward visibility and image clarity.

Automatic anti-glare rearview mirror

Nissan Kicks automatic anti-glare rearview mirror sensor locations

The automatic anti-glare rearview mirror automatically adjusts mirror brightness based on ambient lighting conditions and the intensity of headlights from vehicles behind the Nissan Kicks.

This feature helps improve nighttime driving comfort by reducing distracting glare without requiring manual adjustment.

NOTE:

Do not hang accessories, decorations, or other objects near sensors 1, and do not spray glass cleaner directly onto the sensors.

Obstructing or contaminating the sensors may reduce their sensitivity and prevent the automatic anti-glare function from operating correctly.

The automatic dimming feature becomes active whenever the ignition switch is placed in the ON position.

Outside mirrors

Nissan Kicks power outside mirror adjustment controls

The power outside mirror control system operates only when the ignition switch is in the ACC or ON position.

Select the left or right mirror by pressing switch 1 or 2. Adjust the selected mirror using the larger control switch 3 until the desired viewing angle is obtained.

After adjustment, press switch 1 or 2 again and confirm that the corresponding indicator light is off to help prevent accidental mirror movement.

Correct mirror adjustment is important for safe operation of the Nissan Kicks and helps minimize blind spots while driving.

WARNING

  • Do not adjust the mirrors while driving.

Attempting to adjust mirrors while the vehicle is moving may result in loss of control and increase the risk of an accident.

  • Objects viewed in the passenger-side outside mirror are closer than they appear.

Always use the inside mirror and check over your shoulder when changing lanes or moving to the right. Relying only on the passenger-side mirror may result in incorrect distance judgment.

Foldable outside mirrors

To fold an outside mirror, gently pull it toward the vehicle door.

Folding the mirrors may help reduce the risk of damage when parking in narrow spaces or passing through tight areas.

Heated mirrors (if so equipped)

Some Nissan Kicks models are equipped with heated outside mirrors that help remove frost, fog, condensation, and light ice accumulation.

The heated mirror function improves visibility during cold weather conditions and can contribute to safer driving in winter environments.
