Nissan Kicks hazard warning flasher switch location and operation

Press the hazard warning flasher switch whenever it becomes necessary to stop or park the Nissan Kicks in an emergency situation. Activating the switch causes all turn signal lamps to flash simultaneously, helping alert surrounding drivers to the presence of your vehicle and improving visibility during unexpected roadside stops.

WARNING

  • If an emergency stop is required, move the vehicle as far away from the traffic lane as possible before activating the hazard warning flashers.
  • Do not operate the hazard warning flashers while driving on a highway unless unusual circumstances require the vehicle to travel at an abnormally low speed that could create a hazard for other motorists.
  • Turn signal functions are disabled while the hazard warning flashers are operating.

The hazard warning flashers can be used regardless of the ignition switch position, allowing the system to operate even when the engine is not running.

Local traffic regulations may restrict the use of hazard warning flashers while a vehicle is in motion. Always follow applicable laws in your area.

Emergency engine shut off

If it becomes necessary to stop the engine immediately during an emergency while driving, use one of the following procedures:

  • Press the push-button ignition switch rapidly three times within approximately 1.5 seconds, or
  • Press and hold the push-button ignition switch continuously for more than 2 seconds.
