If any electrical component stops functioning, such as lights, power accessories, or electronic systems, inspect the corresponding fuse before seeking further repairs.
The Nissan Kicks uses fuse protection in both the passenger compartment and the engine compartment. Spare fuses are supplied and can be found within the passenger compartment fuse box.
Whenever installing a replacement fuse, ensure that it is fully seated and securely positioned in the fuse box to maintain a reliable electrical connection.
NOTE:
Your Nissan Kicks may not be equipped with every fuse position shown on the fuse box label. Equipment levels and optional features may vary depending on vehicle configuration.
Engine Compartment
WARNING
Never install a fuse with a higher or lower amperage rating than specified. Using an incorrect fuse can damage electrical components, electronic control modules, or create a fire hazard.
If any electrical system fails to operate, inspect the relevant fuse using the following procedure.
1. Make sure the ignition switch and headlight switch are turned OFF.
2. Open the engine hood.
3. Turn fasteners A counterclockwise approximately one-quarter turn.
4. Press tab B and lift the fuse box cover to remove it.
5. Press tab C, lift the fuse box assembly, and release tab D to loosen the fuse box assembly from its mounting location.
6. Carefully reposition the fuse box assembly to gain access to the individual fuses.
7. Remove the suspected fuse using the fuse puller. The fuse puller is located inside the passenger compartment fuse block.
8. If fuse E is blown, replace it with a new fuse F of the same amperage rating.
9. If the replacement fuse also fails, the electrical system may have a more serious issue. Have the system inspected and repaired. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for service.
NOTE:
Your Nissan Kicks may not include every fuse position illustrated on the fuse identification label.
Fusible Links
If electrical equipment remains inoperative and all standard fuses are intact, inspect the fusible links A located in the holder assembly.
If a fusible link has melted, replace it only with a Genuine NISSAN replacement component to ensure proper circuit protection and system operation.
Inspection and replacement of fusible links should be performed by qualified personnel. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
Passenger Compartment
WARNING
Never replace a fuse with one that has a different amperage rating than specified on the fuse box cover. Incorrect fuse ratings may damage electrical systems or increase the risk of fire.
If an electrical accessory or system stops working, inspect the appropriate fuse.
NOTE:
The fuse box is located to the left of the steering wheel, above the hood release lever, for convenient access during service.
1. Ensure the ignition switch and headlight switch are in the OFF position.
2. Pull fuse box cover A outward to open the panel.
3. Locate the fuse corresponding to the affected electrical circuit.
4. Remove the fuse using fuse puller B.
5. If fuse C is blown, replace it with equivalent fuse D having the same amperage rating.
6. Reinstall and securely close the fuse box cover.
If the replacement fuse fails shortly afterward, the electrical system should be professionally inspected. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for diagnosis and repair.
NOTE:
Your Nissan Kicks may not be equipped with all fuse positions shown on the fuse identification chart, depending on installed equipment and market specifications.
